11-20-2009 57 Chevy assemble is progressing, see photos below.

9-12-2009 Body now mounted on chassis, assemble now starts.

5-31-2009 Added photos of the 57' Chevy Frame. Frame was disassembled, sandblasted, painted in Satin Black and assembled will all new parts. The engine and transmission are now being fitted.

4-23-2009 1957 Chev 2 dr Posst. Photos of Paint which was applied in October 2008.

4-7-2009 While the Plymouth / Hemi is a separate project, we have many new updates for this project. See at the 53 Plymouth Link on the menu at the left. The Hemi assembly is in progress by my grandson, Paul McDaniel,,, his first engine build and it's a First Generation Hemi!!!...

4-7-2009 Sorry about the late updates. We just finished up the winter months with limit time to work on any o f my projects. My wife broke both her arms a few weeks ago so this year is starting out slow in spite of my retirement. The 57 now has the body, doors and trunk painted and the frame has been disassembled and painted and as soon as I can get back to work the frame will be assembled and the body buffed out and mounted on the frame.

5-6-2008 the '57 placed on a Rotisserie and the bottom restored and primed with factory color primer.

4-6-2008 Phots of the 57's (86) 350 Tune Port Injection Engine now on the website.

2-24-2008 Not much to update since the last update in Decemberr. I think I have caught just about every virus to be had this winter. I ordered some Engine dressup machined Billet for the 350 Small Block Chevy TPI and a new Serpentine System Billet Pulley System for the TPI. The body is ready to paint. We are waiting for warm weather so we can take the body off the frame and put it on the rotisery and detail the bottom.

12-9-2007 All the sheet metal has it's final coat of primer and is now ready for paint. But first the body has to be put on a rotisserie, flipped over, and the bottom of the body blasted, cleaned, smoothed up, and primed the same color that the 57's bottoms came from the factory with.

While the body is off the frame, the frame will be cleaned, blasted, prepped and painted satin black, then reassembled and the engine and transmission installed then the painted body set back on the frame and the car assembled.

Assembly is Progressing

Items that are covered with tape are polished aluminum or stainless steel.

Windshield is NOSR (New Old Stock Replacement) I purchased in 1978 and stored it away for this car. It is a PPG windshield. PPG no longer makes a 57 Windshield. It fit great and went in with no issues.

The Air Intake Tubing is for: 1988 to 1989 Pontiac Firebird/GTA with 5.0L/5.7L TPI/FI V8 Engine. The kit is sold by EAUTO TUNING.  I modified the tubes for this TPI application. I found the company and kit on Ebay.

LT-4 two and half inch (2 1/2") Exhaust Manifolds, DynoMax 2 1/2" inlet 2 1/2" outlet Super Turbo Muffleers.
