The car still needs some small detail work and to work out some rattles.

Car has almost 1000 miles on it
so far.

Shown above the 57' is finished except for taking off the green protective making tape and final cleaning and polishing.
Since the two photos above the 57 is now finished and tape has been removed. Car now has been driven 300 miles.
Car has appeared at the 2010 Winters Dove Feast and the 2010 Miles Cotton Festival Parade with great reviews.
Florescent Lights distort the true red color as seen below. I will post better finished photos soon I hope.

Assembly is Progressing

Items that are covered with tape are polished aluminum or stainless steel.

Windshield is NOSR (New Old Stock Replacement) I purchased in 1978 and stored it away for this car. It is a PPG windshield. PPG no longer makes a 57 Windshield. It fit great and went in with no issues.

The Air Intake Tubing is for: 1988 to 1989 Pontiac Firebird/GTA with 5.0L/5.7L TPI/FI V8 Engine. The kit is sold by EAUTO TUNING.  I modified the tubes for this TPI application. I found the company and kit on Ebay.

LT-4 two and half inch (2 1/2") Exhaust Manifolds, DynoMax 2 1/2" inlet 2 1/2" outlet Super Turbo Muffleers.

Body Now Mounted on the Frame, Assembly Process Starts.


Spies Hecker Red Base Coat and Clear Coat were applied. What you see in these photos will be sanded with 2000 gritsandpaper and polished to a mirror finish before the bodycan be mounted on it's restored frame and assembled.
